Thank you to Greener by Design, Nancy Egol-Nikkal, volunteers from Fordham University and the public who stopped by the Art Center to celebrate our Earth Day (April 22) work party and art making workshops.
PelhamArtCenteris committed to the belief that public participation in and access to the arts on a free or affordable basis fosters community development and engagement.
In 1969, the Center was born as the Pelham Art Happening, a town-wide art and music festival developed by members of the Pelham Junior League and artists in the community. Since 1976, the ArtCenter has been located on the main street of Pelham, Westchester County, and since 1985 it has occupied its present location, a renovated 5,000-square-foot facility, originally built as a gas station.
PelhamArtCenter currently serves more than 18,000 area residents, from preschoolers to seniors, with high-quality, year-round art programs.
